The Backstory

Meet Michelle

Just a small town girl living in…her own world.

Michelle grew up in Northern Ontario and eventually found her way to the stunning landscapes of Vancouver Island. After a single visit in 2018, she was immediately captivated by the island’s beauty and charm, making the move within just six months. From the moment Michelle landed in Comox, it felt like home. It marked a turning point, choosing to stop running from the life she had and instead create a life she could run toward. She left the hustle behind and committed to a slower, more intentional way of living.

Michelle is deeply committed to giving back to her community, particularly through organizations focused on mental health and animals.

While she enjoys traveling and exploring new places, Michelle loves nothing more than being at home in the Comox Valley. Whether it’s hiking through lush forests, enjoying a good book, or discovering the best local restaurants, she thrives on the island’s unique experiences. At home, she spends her time with her husband, Kurt, and their two dogs, Diamond and Ruby.

In the summer of 2025, I self-published my first book, Feels Like Home, and I’m currently working on my second.
